Briefly after “Messac”, you pass your first sluice to our base port and already reach soon “Pont Rean” river downwards. You discover a beautyfull bridge from the 18th Century – a beautyfull place of creation, nearly in village center nevertheless a little apart.
The travel continues to lead it toward the north – towards Rennes. In the capital of Brittany you can put on at “Quai St. Cyr” , ideally for cyclists, because on approx. 100 km cycle tracks you can reach fast to the most beautiful goals of the brittany metropole. The cathedral “St. Pierre”, the parliament building, the museum of brittany arts and numerous parks and gardens, like the picture-like “Park Thabor” in the heart of “Rennes”, wait for it to be discovered and explored.
The travel continues towards the north, by the way, you drive by the “Canal d’ille et Rance”, and the next attraction is no longer waiting at you – we drive to the Stair of sluices at Hede. Besides, do you notice somewhat? Sea-air! Correctly, we approach the coast and in direct proximity of the route lies some of the meaningfullest Chateaus of Brittany: “Le Chateau de la Bourbanais”, “Chateau Combourg” or “Chateau de la Beaumanoir” emerge before you and pull down slowly on past whilst you are driving your boat and you are breathing the history and culture of Brittany.
On slow speed you run into the port of Dinan and put on.
